Even as Lisa and Nick plan to celebrate his birthday privately and quietly, Tripp and Letitia Darling decide to throw a lavish party for Nick on their yacht. Nick helps in reconciling Tripp and Patrick, who is still burdened with his troubled marriage and missing transgendered lover. Brian is reunited with his illegitimate son, while Karen and Simon Elder escalate their relationship. Jeremy reveals his feelings for Lisa to Nola Lyons. Amidst all the Darling drama, a death occurs within the family, and someone is arrested for murder.

Kai gets a taste of what it’s like to be dating one of the most photographed members of the Darling family. Initially, he is uncomfortable with the media glare, but soon, to Juliet’s dismay, he learns how to use the paparazzi for his own gain. When he appears in the music video for Natalie’s new song, however, things may have gone too far.
While investigating the Fantini Brothers, Patrick subpeonas Tripp to testify, wounding Tripp deeply. Nick and Brian road-trip to Albany to meet with the Governor in hopes of having the subpeona withdrawn.
Lisa seeks to open her own gallery, with Jeremy as her partner.
Carmelita disappears, and Patrick asks Nick to find her.
